After months of testing on a few of my sites I realized the power of CPM (cost per impression) affiliate programs. Most webmasters believe that PPC/CPC is the best way to make money online. I heavily disagree, for many reasons.
A lot of the new age websites such as community sites and video sites receive tons of page views yet most of the users of these types of sites rarely care about clicking on an AD. Another reason they don’t is because they are active members of the site and have become AD blind.
The solution to this common problem is to use CPM ads. When using CPM affiliate programs you get paid whether your users look at the AD’s or not. Affiliates are paid using a set pay scale usually ranging anywhere from $0.50 to $5.00 per thousand page views. Another great reason to use CPM is if you have a lot of return traffic. Ip addresses for page impressions are counted every 24 hour period. Meaning you if user A comes to your site today, and returns tomorrow, that user will be counted for 2 impressions.

Axill
Axill provides CPM & CPA campaigns. However most people use the CPM affiliate program as it is generally the most profitable. They accept most sites with ease, yet there CPM rates are lower then the higher end CPM networks. Also you able to use there program for one site. This limits most webmasters because they have multiple sites.
YesAdvertising
YesAdvertising is one of the best CPM affiliate networks I have seen they do many different campaign types. They provide publishers and advertisers campaigns based on CPC Contextual Advertising, Email Marketing, PPC Marketing, Banner Advertising and Layer Ads. This program is perfect for a new affiliate that wants to step into the CPM market.
