Have you ever seen a social networking website that was based on WordPress. I’ve never seen one! So, I thought it was pretty sweet to take a simple blogging script and to make it a fully functional community site.

WannaNetwork.com is the site I am writing about. The community was created to help people in the real estate industry to network with each other. WannaNetwork seems to only use a few plug-ins to complete the task of creating a social networking community. Plug-ins such as WordPress Mu, bbpress forum software and buddypress were utilized in creating a fantastic looking website.

I will definitely consider using WordPress and the plug-ins mentioned above to try to create my own little niche community in the future =).
